Sunday sunshine

I haven't been to church in over a month.
I'm going this morning.
I miss my church, even with all the things I dont agree with, I still miss it.

Hope you enjoyed your service this am. We are in the midst of trying to find a new church. Hubby could careless about going at all. Please pray with me he will have a change of heart and we can find a good church that suits us all. I will be praying that you can find a blance in home and work. Blessings, Karen

We sometimes go to the church I went to as a child, it's about 20 minutes away, in the city. It's an old cathedral type church, dark inside, lots of beautiful paintings, ornate. And old-fashioned, in a way, which we love.

Again Patty,
How much I think loads of us identify with your words, "I miss my church, even with all the things I don't agree with, I still miss it." Jesus told us HE would guide us by His Spirit within us. It is HIM we follow with our Cross daily. It is HIS footsteps we follow and watch for in life. When we look to a man, or a church organization, we are mislead. Jesus did not establish an outward organization, but a new born heart was His specialty and promise. BUT, we when we remember to not forsake the assembly of ourself with the others that are also trying to follow Jesus by His Spirit, we have an opportunity to be encouraged ourself, and to encourage others in their walk in this difficult life. IT IS SO IMPORTANT to go to church because that is where people are gathered together that either need encouragement, love, Jesus' words or MAYBE Jesus needs to use us for them! We also need to pray for the pastor and elders to be lead by the Spirit of Christ, and if they are wolves in sheeps clothing, we can pray that the LORD remove them to protect the Sheep! My dh and I have actually had to pray for this in the past, and the LORD 'cleaned' house! His Mercies endure forever!
