everythings so still

there's barely a breeze blowing, I hear no birds singing at the moment, well, except for a crow a ways off. I do faintly hear the trucks on the interstate that is on the other side of the little mountian. It's a bit overcast.
Great time to take a nap. I've just eaten so my belly is full and I'm feeling dozy.
But it can't happen. I have to be at work in an hour.

I've had a good day tho.

I've gotten the major bills paid, decluttered the 2 piles of paper-now it is only one. I really feel good about this. Paper can overtake you, it multiplies-what do I keep/throw away, how long do I keep it? Where should I keep it? that's why it was on the freezer, I didn't know the answer to that last question. But i'm on my way to getting rid of it.
I was thinking yesterday I needed to work on it but I need to clean out the file drawers to make room, which means I need to clean out the bottom of the china cabinet to put all the computer program boxes, etc from the top file cabinet drawer. But then where will I put what's in the china cabinet bottom? Do you see why this pile has been on my freezer for months?

Anyway, I'm glad I got that much of it done.
I treated myself to a pedicure w/ a nice foot massage and then lunch from a local bakery. Yummy homemade chicken salad on a fresh croissant, and a really yummy cinnamon raisin bun w/orange icing drizzled on top. Oh. So. Good!! I walked in there and it smelled like mocha frosting!! Brought back memories of when my mom would make mocha frosting. Always a bit extra so one of us kids could lick the bowl.

Well, if I don't get up from here, I'm going to doze off and won't be at work on time.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

I know what you mean about piles of paper, Patty! I forget which stack is for what sometimes.
Sounds like you really did treat yourself to a wonderful day!
