Simple Saturday

Snow is in the forcast next week for the higher elevations in western NC! High winds also. Hopefully the power will stay on, otherwise we'll  not have heat.

I've made it thru a full week of work. Have to say I'm exhausted. I've got to get myself and my house on a schedule so that I can get it all done. I dont' want to spend my Saturdays in the grocery store and running around.  Any suggestions would be appreciated as to how to organize my evenings after a long day at work.

I got a flu shot today. First one. I felt that since I was working in a nursing home, I'd better get one. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. My arm is a bit sore.

I stopped at several yard sales on my way to town. Bought a nice large rug, probly about 3x5 ft, for $10. Needs a good scrubbing. I've been looking for one to go in my sewing/spare bed room. I think this one will work nicely. I thought the price was good too, just need to wait til another sunny warm Saturday to take it outside and scrub it good and let it dry.

This is my special find, tho! The crochet books are from the 40's mostly. A couple are the early 50's. There are 21 of them. Then the quilt books and the craft book. The guy told me 10 cents a piece. I started counted them and he said, Aw just give me a dollar!! I love to crochet, especially doilies. This will be nice to do this winter while relaxing and watching tv.
I'm off to reboot the laundry and get the kitchen cleaned up.

~~til later
