foggy mornings, bears, babies, oh my!

I think we've had more foggy mornings that not this year. If the old saying is true about August (for every foggy morning there will be snow in December), then we are in for a lot of snow!

A cold front came thru night before last, we had rain and now the temps are definitely more fall like. I remembered some time during the night that I had thrown my old ratty terry cloth, nice warm robe away this summer. Now I need to either find one cheap (yeah right!) or make one myself.
I'll look at Jo Ann's fabrics for some nice soft cotton terry cloth. Then I need to figure out how to rethread my serger.

Bears are out and about here in the mountains, looking for food. Sadly one had to be put down in town. The mountains are being built on and their habitat is being taken over so they have no choice but to come into residential areas to find food.

Sunday evening, a momma and three cubs came thru our yard and sauntered on up the driveway.  They were so cute! I was videoing it on my phone...or I thought I was. Apparently when I tried to zoom in on them at the beginning I turned the video off.  sigh.

Our little grandson will be 2 years old on Saturday!! Unbelievable.  He is such a sweet, handsome little man. Loves all things vehicle. If it has wheels or a motor he loves it. He is so full of life.

Found out last week he is going to be a big brother!  My daughter is due in May. Of course we all are hoping for a girl this time but if it's another boy, that will be ok too.
I'm so excited, I'm going to be Mimi again. There is nothing that compares to the love one has
 for their grandchild(ren).

I am home from work today. Trying not to feel guilty. I had a temporary crown put on a tooth a couple weeks ago and it has been nothing but trouble and pain since. Had to have it opened up and medicated, I'm on an antibiotic, dealing with more pain, it's affecting my sinus/ear, will probably have to have it repacked with medicated cotton, waiting on a root canal. This is the only tooth I have on that side, so I really do need to keep it but it's getting expensive!!

I'm thinking a pot of homemade chicken noodle soup is in order today.
What's cooking in your kitchen today?

Yum homemade chicken noodle soup sounds wonderful. I am making a pot of red beans and a pan of cornbread. Love the spider web photo! No bears in my area but I love to watch them on shows. Stay safe!
