moody Monday

It has been a hot day, about 95* on my porch. I know there are some areas of the country that are hotter than that-don't know how you deal with it.

For some reason I'm just tired today, cant' seem to shake it. I did get all the laundry done-well, there are still a couple loads to dry and fold but they are all washed.
The bathroom is cleaned except for sweeping and mopping, the dishes are washed, kitchen waiting to be swept and mopped, bed made.
I went out to the thrift store, Goodwill and the library. Didnt' find anything except some free magazines at the library. I thought about getting a book to read but I've just not been interested in reading lately.
Can you recommend a good, clean, fun, mystery?

I have decided that I will have the surgery scheduled for Sept 30. I'll be having a bladder repair and hysterectomy. In the meantime I'm trying~~trying~~to lose some weight. I need to eventually get about 50 lbs off but I know that is long term. I keep telling myself--slow and steady. Not sure how much I've lost so far but my pants are getting a bit baggy. Need to exercise cause I'm getting fluffy.

This weekend is going to be a challenge. We have a family reunion and homecoming to go to. Lots of good food. Lots' of cooking.
I need to sit down and work on a menu of what I'll take.

~~til later

Hi Patty- Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Will keep you in my prayers. Also, I don't read mysteries very often, but The Potluck Series (there's 3 books) is pretty good and has a Christian women's base (you can find them in the little bookcase on my blog). There are also some other good mysteries at most Christian book stores. If I was there, I would get one for you. God bless you, always.

Hi Patty- I have been away and just found your comment on my blog this morning. Thank you for stopping in!
I'm sorry to hear about your surgery and I hope that all will go well with you. I will keep you in my prayers daily.
You are right about the weight loss....slow and steady is best. My husband and I went through that last year and he lost 30 lbs, and I lost 40--it was over the course of months, and while it seemed to take forever (!), the results were much better.
I am enjoying your blog and look forward to stopping by to visit again very soon! Have fun at the family reunion!
Blessings,
Pam

How about The Million Dollar Mysteries by Mindy Starns Clark? I read all five books in about two weeks!
