Wednesday

Thankfully, we didnt' get ice here. I've been in ice storms before and as beautiful as they are, they are also very dangerous and destructive.
We did get some rain yesterday. Our temps this morning is about 50*.

I'll be heading out in a bit to take dh to the gastro Dr. He does know that he has a hiatal hernia but not much else. The dr today will go over his test results with him.
He has really cut down on his tobacco use and he says that the heart palpatations have lessened as well.

I'm praying for a 36 yo young man in our church who had a mild heart attack Monday evening. Wow! that was a shock. No indications before hand. When he arrived at the hospital, his blood pressure was 180+ over 140+!! He could have had a stroke. And he had 100% blockage in his heart!! No prior high blood pressure. He had alot of people praying for him. Dh and I went to see him last night and he was tired but doing good. He even got up and sat in the chair before we left. And he may get to go home Thursday.

Say a prayer for this family. He has been working 2 jobs, his wifes job will possibly end. They have a son. I think stress was a big factor there.

I did get in a very small nap on Monday. Why is it that the phone starts ringing, after being silent all day, the minute you get into a good doze. Argh!! But I did feel a bit refreshed.

Some of you have asked about my ds's hat. He went to school the next day and the intructor handed it to him along with his pen and pencil. Said he had found it on the shop floor. Hmm!

~~ have a blessed day

Wow, 36 and had a heart attack, you just never know...

Sounds like you husband is going through the same thing mine has. Dr's have passed it off as being Acid Reflux Disease for years now. He has been refered to a specialist to undergo (another) upper GI, due to the problem getting worse. Yesterday, the specialist told him they were not sure it was acid reflux, but sent him home with meds(samples) for it anyway. He has his upper GI next month.

Our prayers are with you,
Mel

So young to be having a heart attack... it's a reminder we all need to slow down and take care of ourselves. Seems I've also been getting frequent reminders this week to cherish my loved ones!

Came over here from Blind Pig after I saw your comment about looking forward to spring but one more good snow first. I said to myself, "ah this must be a woman I should get to know." And sure enough just perusing your blog on this one home page I have added you to my reader and I am looking forward to reading more. I like the "unschooling" thing and the depend on God thing (not necessarily in that order) oh and the loose weight thing but not any somebody's "plan". Thanks
Hope all goes well with your husband as well as the young man from your church. Years ago, a little boy in my nursery school class lost his father to a heart attack. He was only 33, never smoke or drank. It was a shock to everyone. So very sad. Have a good weekend, blessings,Kathleen
