Start of another week
Last week was a busy one. This week looks just as busy.
My son is in the process of getting his GED, so we spent several mornings last week at the local tech school. He has done well on his tests so far. He goes tomorrow for a few more and to register for the real one.
God brought several blessings to this household this past week.
The biggest-we dont' have to pay any rent this month!! Thank You, Lord. Dh and son had helped our landlord get a couple trees down, so he did this as a thank you to them.
I stopped in to the Goodwill one day and there in a cardboard box I found a Kitchenaid (Model KFP600) food processor!! A bit dirty, ugh! but with all the blades, attachments, mini bowl, etc. I could not believe the price on the box--$6.00!!! So, I bought it, cleaned it up good using hot water, dish liquid/vinegar soaking, scrubbing and then a dip in hot water and bleach. It works!! I'm so surprised at how quiet it is. I hope to put it to use this coming week. I was so excited. I've been wanting a food processor for some time but just didn't have the money for one. I've been on the lookout for a Kitchenaid mixer, so, maybe I'll find one of those.
One thing that did not come with the processor is the storage container. I found a place online that I can order one. and I need to replace the scraper thingy.
Our neighbor brought us some nice wild plums. Need to figure out what to do with them. Not enough to make juice for preserves, yet more than we will eat before they start going bad.
I'm so thankful for these blessings that God has showered us with. He is so Good!!
I pray that whoever reads this blog receives a blessing in some way. If you do visit here, please leave a comment so I know I'm just not "talking" to myself ;).

You're not talking to yourself, I am usually here reading. I know I need to stop in and talk more.
I am excited for you about your food processor! That was a really good find.

You're definitely not talking to yourself. I came to listen, today, for the first time. I'm so thankful that you visited me, so that I can get to know you!
Thank you for your sweet words and your prayers. I prayed before I picked the computer up that He would send someone to lift me up and that I may find someone to lift up, today. And, of course, He answered my prayers! Thank you for allowing Him to use you, today (and everyday, I'm sure!!!!)
Congratulations on your KitchenAid food processor. I've never owned one (mainly because of the expense.) Maybe I should take a run down to the local Goodwill?!?!
Until we visit again........
Many Blessings,
Julie
KitchenAid products are just the best~I would love a big mixer, too. I have a small hand held one and it is so quiet, like your food processer is. I never knew you could make pudding and talk to someone at the same time!
What a nice 'thank-you' from your landlord! God is always so good.

What blessings you've had this week!!
