Back home

had a wonderful time with our daughter and son in law. And met our little grand doggie, Lady. She is so funny. She's part lab/part german shepard.

Don't have any pictures. Not sure if ds took some or not.
We tried a deep fried turkey for the first time. I got dh the fryer several yrs ago but he hasnt' attempted to use it. It was really good, tender. Ds and sil liked the skin the best, cause it was so crunchy.
We went to Opry Mills Mall Saturday night. I saw several things I'd liek to have but didnt' buy a thing-except a coffee frappacino at Starbux. Dh bought a pair of shoes at the Bass shoe store-20%, then an extra 40%. So, it came our at about 50% off!

It was good to get back home, tho. Whew! What a drive back, tho. What normally takes us 5 hours, took about 9! Traffic was so bad and it was raining. There were several occasions that we were in stop and go traffic, on I40! Thankfully we only saw one wreck and it was just a fender bender. I know dh was exhausted when we got home from driving.

Its' back to work for me tomorrow. I've been out for 9 wks. Physically, I think I'm ready to go back. It'll be very part time at first but hopefully my hours will increase. Adn hopefully my strength and energy will increase also.

Now is the count down til Christmas. I'm hoping to start putting out my decorations this week. Maybe get a tree next week. We usually get a live one. Dont' want it to dry out before Christmas gets here.
Haven't done any shopping yet. We always wait til dh gets his bonus, then use that.

I haven't a clue as to what I want this yr. Well, lots that I want but what do I really want?

Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving, except for that return drive. After hours on the road, you really know there's no place like home! Good luck on your first day back at work.
