cold Wednesday
It is cold, 19* here on the Weather Bug, and not expected to warm up too much today.
We did get a blowing of snow yesterday evening. I was hoping for some accumulation but didnt' get it here.
Changes have been happening here in the Hall household.
Ds is now a college student-technical college, that is. He started Monday and is taking automotive technology. It is a big change for him, since he was homeschooled since 7th grade. Basically it was "unschooling". I'm proud of him for taking this on. He has learned a few things this week~~
*don't run your vehicle thru the carwash when the temps are at freezing, cause your doors will be frozen in the morning. You may be able to get them open but they won't shut back.
*don't leave your favorite camoflauge, Chevrolet hat with the fish hook on it and your pen/pencil lying around when you leave a room, cause they won't be there when you return.
I won't say what his dad told him to do if he sees someone with his hat on today.
He and his dad cleaned up and repainted his papas rolling tool chest-black and "chevy engine orange". Can you tell he's a Chevy man? lol! He's in the process of getting all the necessary tools together that he'll need for the classes.
I've been changing my eating habits and drinking more water. I have almsot 50 lbs to lose.
I'm limiting my carbs and trying to increase my protein. Also drinking more water.
Dh is still having health problems. His appt with the gastro in on the 23rd. He has an appt this Friday with a cardiologist. He is going to see one even tho the ER dr said there was nothing wrong with his heart. He talked with a cardio nurse this morning, (where he took the stress test, etc), told her what was going on still and she said that he did need to be seen. He is really stressed/anxious about this, which is understandable, so would appreciate your prayers for him.
I'm also changing my spending habits, trying to get back to a workable budget-at least to where i know what is going out and what is coming in. With our hours being cut back, dr bill's, gas/groceries,etc going up, we need to watch every penny we spend. It's not easy but I've got it started.
So, thru all this, I'm praying and keeping in mind God's promises.
He is never changing!

and lean not unto thine own understanding.

I pray that your new eating plan works for you. I lost 30 pounds with Weight Watchers, but I am not reading a book by Sally Fallon and another person called Eat Fat, Lose Fat about eating the right things. IT makes sense to me so far. May the Lord bless your efforts!!
Rich blessings to you! He will carry you through.
I have really had to stay on top of our budget also. Most people have I think. But with God all things are possible. So I keep right on going like you are. Glad to be back among friends. Missed you and will talk again soon. Blessings, Karen
My prayers are with you and your family.

And I love the verse. One of my favorites but hardest to keep in my heart when life brings on trials.
