Spring!!
I think Spring has arrived! It has been beautiful, warm, stormy, chilly, a mix of everything. One day within a 30 min time period it went from snowing/sleeting to sunshine back to sleet. Weird. Yesterday was about 20* cooler than Sunday.
I went out for a bit and pulled some weeds. Noticed my Crinium Lily my mom gave me last yr is coming up. I hope it blooms this yr. It is so pretty.
Well, school is going good. We are on spring break this week. I have homework and tests to study for. Then we only have about 3 weeks when we go back. I'll be registering April 28th for summer and fall classes. I still enjoy school!! I love learning. It just gets hard sometimes, trying to balance it, work and home. I'm so looking forward to the end, tho and I can get into a job that is rewarding. My prayer is that God will open a door somewhere in an organization that is mission minded. I dont' know why. I just have this on my heart to do and feel that is the direction God is taking me.
I've been reading alot lately about anti-inflammatory foods. Dr. Weil, Dr. Perricone and some others have some info on their websites. It's interesting.
During my reading I saw something about soaking nuts and why they should be soaked. It makes sense. So I tried some. Yum! I love the taste of them. I read, too that Dr. Oz keeps some walnuts in a jar of water at his desk.
I'm trying to eat more veggies, more lean protein, less carbs, sugars, processed foods. I know I have to stay away from any kind of processed meats, as much as I love a good roasted hotdog. I know it will be a 'one step at a time' process.
I go to the bone/joint dr on Friday. I've been having chronic pain/inflammation. My reg. dr wants me to see a rheumatologist as well. I don't look forward to all of this but want to find out what is going on.
Well, I"m off, have things to do before work.

That was pretty interesting about the nuts- I had never heard that before!
