March'n into April

I think that winter has finally loosened it's grip on the mountains here. April has arrived and the weather has been AweSome!!  I love this time of year (I think I've said that before). Spring and Fall-just the right temps, nice breezes blowing. Spring time things are waking up, Fall things are preparing for rest.

I sat outside yesterday for over an hour in the warm sunshine. Listened to the birds, watched the bees. Aw! It was so nice.

I between jobs right now-last week was the end of one and I start anther on Monday. I'm excited and a bit anxious about this new journey.

My son and I perused some antique stores this morning. We both love doing this and it has been awhile since we've been able to. He found some cool things like tools and fishing stuff. I found cool things like vintage linens, crochet bedspreads and quilts. Oh and the cutest little sewing machine! This is not it but is just like the one we saw today. Case and all!

Isnt' this quilt top gorgeous? I think it's rather "Easter-y" in it's colors too. The price on it wasn't bad but it was more than I had to spend on a quilt. I think tho that I'll have to keep a check on it, maybe it will go on sale.

I could easily get into some serious trouble in an antique store.

Such a charming quilt! I hope it goes on sale. When I see quilts like that you wonder about its history. Have a wonderful Easter.
So glad you are getting pretty weather. That little machine by the way is a Salesman sample. Salesmen used to take these little machines door to door to show the functions or regular machine. They supposedly work just like a normal size one. Lovely quilt. I am like you, I can go over board in an antique shop!
